[CCR] HMP3 SEARCH: PT, OT, and Prosthetist Panel

Description: Are you fascinated by the rapid advancements in medical technology? Ever wonder how artificial limbs work? Come out to our event to hear from a prosthetist, a clinician who works with amputees and makes artificial limbs! This event will also feature an OT and PT who collaborate to improve the patient's mobility.


[CCR] Personal Statement Part II: Draft Review

Description: This is your chance to have your personal statement reviewed by Writing Hub staff members.  You will have one-on-one time with three of them, so bring your draft and get ready to work on making your personal statement the best it can be!  Just in time to submit your application! 


[CCR] HOPE Speaks!

Description: Learn more about one of HOPE's founders:  his experiences overcoming adversity as an undergraduate, his experiences at UC - San Diego's School of Medicine as a member of PRIME, his residency at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, and his fellowship in Pediatric Palliative Care at UCLA's Children's Hospital. HOPE to see you there !  Note from Adele:  When I knew him as an undergraduate, Chuong had been told that he would NEVER be accepted to medical school.  I always believed in him, though—and look at him now!

Because there was no way to reach out to you for the last couple of weeksI am extending the deadline to bid on 4 test prep courses (2 Kaplan and 2 Princeton Review) until nextFriday,  May 12 at 4:00 pm.  This is a silent auction, and you can put in one bid per course.  The Kaplan courses sell for $2,299 each—the minimum bid is $1,500.  The Princeton Review courses now sell for $2, 799 each.  The minimum bid is $2,000.  If you have two winning bids, I promise to give you the lower of your two bids.  You can save up to $800 on the cost of your test prep course!  How to bid:  just send an email directly to me at with your bid(s).  Everyone who bids will be notified if they won or not.  Winning bids must be paid by Friday, May 19 or the course will go to the next highest bidder.  Thank you for your support of HMP3 and our great programs!

to discuss what an MD/PhD program entails, reasons to pursue one, application process, and preparing to apply as an undergrad.

4.       MEMO (Medical, Educational, Missions and Outreach) MCAT Practice Exam 

MEMO is partnering with the Princeton Review to hold an MCAT practice exam on Saturday May 13, 2017 from 8:30AM to 5PM. The location is to be announced, but the exam costs $8 for MEMO members, and $10 for nonmembers. Here is the link to sign up:
