HMP3 Email Blast for Finals Week!  12.2.16

Health Beat is holding drop-ins during Finals Week!  Check here for hours of availability:  http://career.ucsd.edu/undergrads/interest-areas/pre-med.html#Advising.

1.     Thurs. Dec. 8  Health Beat presents:  Columbia University Institute of Human Nutrition One-Year Masters in Nutrition Science, 3:00-4:00 pm in the Career Services Center Horizon Room.

The one-year masters of nutrition sciences is an excellent option for students seeking a gap/glide year, or to enhance their health professions training with a master’s degree in Nutrition Science.

This program prepares students for one of several possible further directions in which advanced training may be pursued. Many MS graduates go on to train in a laboratory discipline pertinent to nutrition, enter medical or dental school, or work a public health field in which knowledge of nutrition figures significantly.

Planning to come?  Please RSVP to sw2666@cumc.columbia.edu66@CUMC.Columbia.edu

For more information visit our website at http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/ihn/prospectivestudents.

Can’t attend?  Students can view a video of the presentation, given by MS Program Director Sharon Akabas, PhD, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSAPbytkWyM

2.     Thurs. Dec. 8  Pre-Dental Society presents:  World renowned motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur, Steven Anderson.

Details:  With 5 books and hundreds of articles to his credit, this former “Businessman of the     Year” has used his experience and inspirational lessons to motivate all levels of people in the medical/dental world and in business. Are you looking for motivation and help with personal goals, or balancing work and life? Steve covers it all using psychology, behavioral physics, and his Natural Laws. He created the Crown Council which deals with total patient care. Steve regularly charges top dollar to attend one of his lectures.
