Adele Savage: HMP3 Advisor

I love my job, and I hope it shows! I feel very lucky to get to work with the best people on campus—pre-health professions students. There are a lot of you, and it's a constant challenge to develop cutting-edge programs to help you pursue your dreams of becoming the health professionals of the future. That is why the HMP3 Student Board is so important. I couldn't possibly do all this alone. They are a terrific group—full of creativity, energy, enthusiasm and highly motivated to make a difference for you. I am very proud to be associated with them.

I am the mother of 4 grown children, three sons and a daughter. My master's degree is in guidance & counseling, which I try to put to good use on a daily basis in working with you all. I had fifteen years of experience in the field of public health (specifically, women's reproductive health). My mom was a surgical nurse, my dad was a public health educator and my maternal grandfather was a typical country doctor in Depression-era Oklahoma, so I come by my deep interest in health care naturally. I truly enjoy helping students find opportunities and experiences that will help them choose the best profession for them.
